The Film Project at Selfridges

In March, Creative Director of Selfridges Alannah Weston welcomed leading womenswear designers, celebrated film directors and a who’s who of trendsetters from the world of fashion, film and the arts to celebrate the premiere of The Film Project in the Old Selfridges Hotel.  The Film Project – a unique short film collection presented in a special exhibition which opened to the public on 15 March and ran to 25 March, had been commissioned by Selfridges from some of the most extraordinary talents in fashion. The Film Project was curated by Emma Reeves to celebrate the launch of the Women’s Designer Galleries in its London store. Films were by A.F.Vandevorst, Alexander McQueen, Ann Demeulemeester, Comme des Garçons, Dries Van Noten, Gareth Pugh and Rick Owens all working with their chosen director.
