The Kaokan prophecy was announced by Tibetan monks in the first half of the 20th century, before Tibet was occupied by China. The prophecy stated that in the coming century, the spiritual energy of the planet would move to the Andes Mountains in South America, and the spirituality of the East would meet the ancestral spirituality of America.

Thus, the Mayan Elders entrusted several great Mayan spiritual guides to carry out that prophecy. The Ishka Kankueb Yoga system is the result of the Kaokan prophecy and the vision of the spiritual guide Chakra Raja Kan who comes to London to introduce that unique, comprehensive and efficient practice.

Ishka Kankueb Yoga

Ishka Kankueb Yoga is a very accessible, yet advanced yoga system based on:

  • Vyayamas — smooth and fluid movements with integration of the nervous system;
  • Kankuebs — 7 basic spinal movement patterns for flexibility and energy flow;
  • Maipayats — repetitive exercises to strengthen the body and activate energy;
  • Vinyasas — sequences of asanas of different intensity to prepare and strengthen the body;
  • Asanas — static postures to calm the mind and activate the prana, nadis and chakras;
  • Kriyas — preparatory practices for Kriya Yoga that usually include the accompaniment of asanas with pranayama, mudra, bandha, mantra and IKY (Ishka Kankueb Yoga) Drishti.

Ishka Kankueb Yoga practice is based on deep and systematic techniques that are characterised by accompanying the physical practice by the execution of IKY Drishti, the points of awareness to channel the mental energy.

Most of the IKY Drishti are based on the ancient techniques of the Mayan Kankueb. In addition to facilitating and accelerating flexibility and body strength in asanas, it activates nadis, chakras and body energy in general. Most importantly, it is very efficient in helping a practitioner to reach deep states of meditation.
