The Race by Ahmet Sel
Ahmet Sel explores the field of documentary and portrait photography.
He worked in Paris for La Cinq TV channel (1981-1990) and in Moscow for Sipa Press (1990-2000).
Since 2009 Ahmet Sel is living in turkey. His photographs are published in major international newspapers and magazines, exhibited in many museums and galleries, and are part of private and public collections.
Ahmet Sel won the “Fujifilm Press Photo Award France” in the portrait category (2003) and the Gold Award of National magazine Awards Foundation (Canada) in the “Words & Pictures” category (2004).
This month’s Photo Story is a combination of Ahmet Sel’s images, documented the world of horse racing in France over the course of several years. the pictures were taken during the prestigious Prix de Diane and various horse racing meetings at the Chantilly, Longchamp and Deauville racecourses.
